Background knowledge |
---|
The smartphone is simply used as a display device. It receives the image data from the internet without any cables in a split screen, one for the left eye and one for the right eye.
The VR-Headset takes care, that the left and right eye get only their dedicated image. When you turn your head with your headset left/right, up/down, the sensors of your smartphone will detect your movements and show you the 3-dimensional space around you and gives you a virtual feeling. A low cost VR-Headset for experiments is for example the Google Cardboard. |
